Overview:
RIGHT CHOICE TRUCK & TRAILER REPAIR INC. is currently seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Brampton, ON. This is a full-time position with permanent employment. The selected candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing equipment, as well as maintaining inventory and documentation.

Responsibilities:
As a Diesel Mechanic, your tasks may include:

• Instructing apprentices
• Troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
• Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
• Ordering parts and maintaining inventory
• Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts
• Keeping maintenance reports and documentation
• Welding experience
• Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications
• Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work
• Performing repair work on heavy trucks
• Servicing attachments and working tools

Experience and Qualifications:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 to less than 7 months of experience
• Welding experience is required

• Physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, Hand-eye coordination, Handling heavy loads, Manual dexterity, Standing for extended periods
